Job summary

George Washington University Hospital in downtown Washington, DC, is seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to join a teaching, research hospital environment. You will provide clinically advanced childbirth services and collaborate with Advanced Practitioners and Providers to manage complex birth scenarios.

The ideal candidate will be a graduate of an accredited RN program, hold an active state license, and have ACLS/PALS and BLS, with 1+ year of acute care experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• ACLS or PALS (or obtained within six months of employment).
• BLS certification.
• Current state nursing license.
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
• Requirements specified for specialty unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinically advanced childbirth services in Labor and Delivery.
• Collaborate with Advanced Practitioners and Providers to manage complex birth situations.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and deliver high-quality care.
• Adapt to multiple and changing priorities in a teaching/research hospital.
