Job summary

George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC seeks an experienced Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to deliver clinically advanced childbirth services in a teaching hospital setting. You will collaborate with Advanced Practitioners and Providers to ensure patient-centered outcomes and safety.

Ideal candidates hold an RN license, ACLS or PALS within six months of employment, and BLS certification. Preference for 1 year full-time or 3 years part-time experience in acute care.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited or NLN-approved RN program.
• ACLS or PALS (or obtained within six months of employment).
• BLS.
• Current state nursing license.
• Prefer one year full time or three years part time experience in acute care setting.
• Requirements specified for specialty unit.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinically advanced childbirth services with a collaborative approach with Advanced Practitioners and Providers.
• As a teaching and research hospital, ensure advanced science is accessible for challenging birth situations.
• Maintain patient records and coordinate care across teams.
