Job summary

Onslow Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville, NC seeks a PRN obstetrical RN to join our care team. Provides direct obstetrical nursing care, including assessment, medication administration, and following provider orders while documenting care and communicating with the team.

The position requires graduation from an accredited School of Nursing, NC or compact RN license, BLS, NRP, TeamSTEPPS, ACLS within specified timelines; one year of clinical experience preferred, new graduates welcome after RN

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current, unencumbered North Carolina or compact state RN license.
• Current BLS certification.
• NRP certification and TeamSTEPPS training within 90 days.
• ACLS certification within 6 months.
• One year of clinical experience preferred; new graduates after RN residency program may qualify.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct obstetrical nursing care and perform assessments.
• Administer medications and carry out physician orders; document care.
• Communicate with the care team and adhere to hospital policies.

Provides direct care to the obstetrical patient. Responsible for assessment, medication administration, carrying out providers orders, evaluating their effect, documenting care provided and communicating with the care team. Provides care in adherence to all hospital policies and accreditation standards.

QualificationsEducation/Certification:

• Graduation from accredited School of Nursing
• Current, unencumbered North Carolina or compact state RN License.
• Current BLS certification
• NCI certification and Team STEPPS training within 90 days
• NR P certification and ACLS within 6 months

Experience:

• One year of clinical experience in area of clinical specialty is preferred. New graduates upon the completion of RN residency program is preferred.
