Memorial Health Meadows Hospital in Vidalia, GA is seeking a PRN Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care and support the L&D team. You will assess patients, administer medications, and educate families as part of a collaborative, multidisciplinary approach.

Required qualifications include RN licensure in Georgia, ADN or BSN, and ACLS/BCLS/NRP certifications or completion within 90 days of employment. No travel required.

• RN licensure (state of Georgia) required.
• ADN or BSN nursing degree required.

Responsabilités

• Provide professional nursing care to L&D patients using the nursing process.

The L&D Registered Nurse will provide professional and direct nursing care to patients utilizing the nursing process, collaborating with other members of the health care delivery team, including physicians, to assure quality health care. The L&D Nurse assumes the responsibility for patient assessments, patient education, administration of medications as ordered by physician, via oral, IM, SQ, or IV route.

What you will do in this role:

• Provides for patient comfort, safety, respect, and confidentiality
• Demonstrates effective therapeutic communication skills, both verbal and nonverbal with patients, caregivers, and family members
• Receives and assesses patient ensuring appropriate level of care as determined by their needs
• Utilizes data obtained from the nursing assessment and formulates a plan of treatment with other members of the multi-disciplinary team based on the patients needs
• Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates nursing care provided. Re-prioritizes care plans every 24 hours & as needed
• Incorporates the physician's orders into the treatment plan and interprets them to the non-professional staff providing care to the patient
• Performs treatment interventions requiring a physician's order and nursing licensure implementation
• Accepts and communicates verbal, electronic, and written physician orders to program staff, families, and appropriate agencies involved in the patients total care spectrum
• Engages in timely efficient discharge planning, assuring the transition of patients to the appropriate level of care as determined by the patient's needs

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• Neonate Resuscitate must be obtained within 90 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree
