Job summary

CHA Hollywood Presbyterian Medical Center in Los Angeles is seeking a per diem RN in Labor and Delivery to deliver high-quality patient care. You will plan, direct, delegate, and coordinate care under the nursing process and report to the Clinical Nurse Director.

Minimum ADN required, BSN preferred, with at least one year of L&D experience. California RN license, BLS/ACLS, and NRP are required, plus ARC and safety certifications within specified timelines.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited associate degree of nursing program (ADN).
• Bachelor degree preferred (BSN).
• Minimum one year recent clinical experience in Labor and Delivery. (Not applicable to New Grad RN’s)
• Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of obstetrical procedures and protocols
• Must be able to work in a union environment.
• Acute Care setting preferred
• Computer Skills
• Experience with electronic health records (EHR)
• Current California RN License
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification
• Basic EKG Certification
• NRP – Advanced Course
• Intermediate FHM (AWHONN) or C-EFM
• Advanced FHM (AWHONN)
• ARC (Assault Response Competency) within 30 days of hire
• LA County Fire and Safety Card within 30 days of hire
