The Registered Nurse is responsible for coordinating comprehensive care for assigned patients, ensuring the delivery of individualized and age-appropriate care. This role involves assessing patient status, interpreting clinical data, and addressing unique care needs in accordance with established policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate total patient care, delivering individualized care based on patient needs.
  • Assess and interpret data reflective of patient status to provide age-specific, evidence-based care.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan.
  • Uphold the Mission and Core Values of St. Bernardine Medical Center through professional conduct and quality care.
  • Support the hospital’s strategic plan and participate in quality improvement and process enhancement initiatives.

This position requires clinical expertise, compassionate patient care, and a commitment to advancing the Mission and strategic goals of St. Bernardine Medical Center in a collaborative environment.

Qualifications
  • One year RN experience in an acute care Maternal Child setting preferred. *Note: Position currently requires at least 1 year of L&D experience; training RNs without this experience is not supported.
  • Current California Registered Nurse License
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) within the first six months of employment
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within the first six months of employment
  • Basic Arrhythmia knowledge within the first six months
  • Basic Fetal Monitoring within the first six months
