Job summary

Rolling Plains Memorial Hospital in Sweetwater, TX is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Labor & Delivery unit on a 13-week contract. Responsibilities include monitoring labor, fetal heart rate assessment, assisting with deliveries, postpartum and newborn care, with a patient-centered approach on night shifts in an acute care setting.

Active RN license (TX or compact eligible) and 2+ years L&D experience are preferred, along with ACLS and BLS certifications.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years Labor & Delivery experience preferred.
• Strong experience in labor, delivery, postpartum and newborn care.
• Ability to work independently on night shifts in acute care setting.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care in the Labor & Delivery unit, including monitoring labor progression, fetal heart rate assessment, assisting with deliveries, postpartum care, and responding to obstetric emergencies.
• Float to postpartum or women’s health units as needed based on hospital needs.

Duration: 13 Weeks
Schedule: Nights | 12-Hour Shifts
Pay Rate: $52 – $54/hr
Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,872 – $1,944/week (36 hrs/week)
