Job summary

HCA Healthcare is seeking an RN Kidney Transplant Coordinator to lead and coordinate care for kidney, pancreas, and liver transplant patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop optimal care plans and ensure smooth patient journeys.

The role emphasizes collaboration with transplant surgeons, pharmacists, and nursing leadership to advance outcomes and nursing excellence within a Magnet Hospital environment.

Qualifications

• RN license in good standing.
• Associate Degree; BSN required with 12 month enrollment and 24 month completion (Magnet Hospital).
• Critical Care/ICU or BMT experience preferred.
• 2 years RN experience required; transplant management preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and implement care for kidney/pancreas/liver transplant patients in inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Collaborate with transplant surgeons, pharmacists, and other specialists to determine best care plans.
• Coordinate across care teams to support donor and recipient pathways.
• Support patient education and post-transplant follow-up activities.

Job Summary and Qualifications

The RN Coordinator Kidney/Pancreas/Liver Transplant is a registered nurse who plans, coordinates and implements the care of solid organ transplant patient and living donor as applicable in both the in-patient and out-patient settings in accordance with the nursing process. Our team includes experienced and dedicated physicians, organ transplant surgeons, pharmacists, nurses and other hospital staff who are specially trained in working with patients with kidney disease. These experts also work with specialists from related fields - including cardiology, radiology, interventional radiology, psychology, pathology and infection disease - to determine the best care plan. This often includes multiple treatment options, which may be part of preparation for organ transplantation.

What qualifications you will need:

• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree; BSN required w/12 month enrollment and 24 month completion (Magnet Hospital)
• Critical Care, ICU or BMT experience preferred
• CCTC preferred; should be obtained after 2 years as a Transplant Coordinator
• 2 years RN experience required
• One-year experience in management of organ failure/transplant patients preferred
