Job summary

The George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC is seeking an Interventional Radiology (IR) RN to provide specialized care for patients undergoing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures. • BLS and ACLS (AHA-certified).
• Minimum 1 year critical care, emergency, or IR nursing experience.

• BSN degree (preferred).
• Experience in high-acuity procedural settings (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and monitor patients for IR procedures.
• Administer moderate sedation and medications as needed.
• Assist physicians during image-guided interventions.
• Monitor patient status and document care throughout procedures.
• Provide pre- and post-procedure education and support.
• Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and other team members.
• Respond to emergencies and participate in resuscitation efforts.

Job Summary

Our Interventional Radiology (IR) nurses provide specialized care for patients undergoing minimally invasive, image-guided procedures in a dynamic, collaborative setting. As an IR RN, you will support patients before, during, and after procedures, assist physicians with interventions, and ensure patient safety in a high-acuity environment focused on teamwork, innovation, and continuous learning.
