Mercy Hospital Southeast in Cape Girardeau, MO is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Interventional Radiology department. This full-time role involves daytime shifts with additional call hours as needed, supporting patient care through the nursing process and collaboration with other teams.

Ideal candidates will have RN licensure, a nursing degree (AD/Diploma/BSN), BLS (and ACLS per unit requirements), and IR experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in Interventional Radiology nursing preferred.
• RN licensure in applicable state.
• ACLS and BLS certifications per unit requirement.

Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for provision of patient care for the assigned patients. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct care givers. Coordinates the patient care in conjunction with other departments. Position Details:

Registered Nurse

Location: Mercy Hospital Southeast, Cape Girardeau, MO

Department: Interventional Radiology

Status: Full-Time - 40 hours/week

Shift: Days (Additional call hours may be required including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.)

• ASN to BSN Bridging Program to assist in obtaining your BSN (up to $16,000).
• BSN to MSN Bridging Program to assist in obtaining your MSN (up to $16,000).

• RN Loan Forgiveness Program to aide in paying off your RN student loan debt. (Must start with Mercy within 12-months of graduation.)

Qualifications:

• Experience: Previous IR and/or related procedural nursing experience preferred.

• Required Education: Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN).

• Licensure: Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements.

• Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire. Other unit specific certifications including ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) as required.

• Other:Physical requirements/demands:

  • Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis.
  • Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift.
  • Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties.
