Job summary

HCA Florida South Shore Hospital in Sun City Center, FL is seeking a Radiology Registered Nurse for the Special Procedures Department. You will deliver high-quality, efficient care in a procedural setting and support a collaborative team focused on patient safety.

As an RN, you will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate care for invasive radiology patients, assist physicians, ensure equipment and room readiness, monitor patients during procedures and document outcomes accordingly.

Qualifications

• RN license is required.
• ACLS within 6 months of start date or as per policy.
• BCLS within 30 days of employment start date.
• NIH Stroke Scale within 6 months of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of invasive radiology patients; pre-, intra-, and post-procedure.
• Assist physicians in procedures.
• Identify and ensure equipment is available and room is prepared for procedures.
• Monitor patients during procedures and document findings.
• Continuously assess, monitor, and communicate patient condition and respond as needed.
• Administer medications per physician orders.

Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Radiology Registered Nurse for our Special Procedures Department. You will provide clinical expertise to ensure all patients receive high quality, efficient care in a procedural environment. What you will do in this role:

You will assess, plan, intervene and evaluate the care of invasive radiology patients; pre-, intra-, and post-procedure.

You will assist physicians in procedures.

You will identify, determine, and ensure all appropriate equipment is available for procedures. You will ensure room is set up in a timely manner.

You will monitor patients during procedures and document appropriately.

You will continuously assess, monitor, record and communicate patient condition and act appropriately.

You will administer medications in accordance with physician orders.

What qualifications you will need:

• Advanced Cardiac Life Spt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
• NIH Stroke Scale must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date
• (RN) Registered Nurse
• Associate Degree
