Job description

As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in our healthcare team, leading the coordination of patient care with assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. You will direct and lead other assigned team members and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to provide age/developmentally appropriate care in accordance with nursing standards of care and practice.

Position Highlights

  • Sign-On Bonus: $15,000 sign-on incentive, provided the candidate meets the eligibility requirements!

  • Department: Intermediate Care
    The Intermediate Care Unit specializes in the care of patients with a variety of acute and chronic disease processes, including pulmonary, neurological, renal, geriatric, and infectious disease.
  • Location: Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center - Winston-Salem, NC

What You’ll Need

  • Graduation from accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.
  • Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing.
  • Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines.

  • Point-of-care Testing: Performs and maintains competency for point-of-care testing as assigned, ensuring compliance with WFBH policies and applicable regulations.
  • Patient Advocacy: Act as a passionate patient advocate throughout the continuum of care, advocating for their needs and preferences.
  • Care Management and Clinical Prioritization: Coordinate the effective and efficient delivery of patient care services by applying care management principles.
  • Promotion of Healthy Work Environment: Demonstrates ability to function in a professional practice model through active participation in shared governance.
