Qualifications

• An Associate Degree in Nursing is required.
• A BSN is strongly preferred.
• One or more years’ experience as a Registered Nurse is required.
• Current Georgia license as a Registered Professional Nurse is required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) health care provider card is required.
• ACLS certification is required for all listed areas; new graduates must obtain within 90 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide age-appropriate, culturally sensitive nursing care and maintain a safe environment.
• Coordinate care across settings and among caregivers; ensure continuity and evaluation of care.
• Educate patients and families about health practices and treatment modalities; utilize nursing processes for assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
