The Staff Pad is proud to partner with a reputed regional hospital in Wausau, WI and we are looking to hire Registered Nurses for a high-acuity Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU).

This is an excellent opportunity for nurses looking to build advanced clinical skills, gain ICU-adjacent experience, and grow beyond traditional med-surg care. The role offers full-time hours with 12-hour shifts, days and nights, and onboarding support to help you thrive.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Wisconsin or compact-eligible.
• Experience with high-acuity, acute care settings is preferred.
• New graduates welcome to apply.
• Willingness to work 12-hour shifts (days/nights).

Responsibilities

• Provide care for high-acuity, complex patients.
• Gain experience with neuro, trauma, post-surgical, and complex medical cases.
• Receive strong training and onboarding support (great for newer RNs).
• Build advanced clinical skills and prepare for critical care or specialty roles.
• Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care to complex patients.
• Collaborate with CNAs and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Active RN license in Wisconsin or compact-eligible.
• Experienced RNs and New Graduates welcome to apply.
