Job summary

The Staff Pad, partnering with a regional hospital in Wausau, WI, is hiring Registered Nurses for a high-acuity Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU). This is an excellent opportunity to build advanced clinical skills, gain ICU-adjacent experience, and grow beyond traditional med-surg care.

Schedule: Full-Time, 12-hour shifts, Days and Nights. You will care for high-acuity patients, gain experience with neuro, trauma, post-surgical cases, and receive strong onboarding support.

Qualifications

Active RN license in Wisconsin or compact-eligible.
Experience with high-acuity neuro, trauma, post-surgical and complex medical cases.
Open to new graduates as well as experienced RNs.

Responsibilities

Provide care for high-acuity, complex patients in IMCU.
Engage in neuro, trauma, post-surgical and complex medical cases.
Participate in training and onboarding to bolster critical care skills.
Collaborate with CNAs and interdisciplinary care teams.
Deliver patient-centered care with empathy and safety.
