Description:

We are seeking a Registered Nurse Training Instructor to teach the approved Home Health Aide (HHA) and Personal Care Aide (PCA) training curriculum at our Staten Island Training School. This individual will play a key role in preparing future caregivers by providing high-quality instruction and education.

When classes are not in session, the Training Instructor will also conduct educational in-services for our existing HHAs and PCAs and administer competency evaluations.

Responsibilities:

1. Teach the HHA/PCA training curriculum in accordance with all regulations and company policies.
2. Supervise students and provide related instruction.
3. Proctor and grade tests, ensuring proper documentation of student progress.
4. Prepare and submit lesson plans, course objectives, and student performance evaluations.
5. Conduct educational in-services for current staff when training classes are not in session.
6. Perform competency evaluations for HHAs/PCAs.
7. Assist with other training-related duties as requested by the Director, Program Coordinator, or Management.

Qualifications & Requirements:

1. BSN Degree in Nursing.
2. NYS Licensed & Registered (in good standing) as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).
3. Minimum 2 years of RN experience in New York.
4. Minimum 1 year of direct patient care experience as an RN.
5. Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
6. Bilingual candidates are preferred (but not required).

Training will be provided at our office in Gravesend Brooklyn; however, the position itself will be located at our Staten Island Training School, located across from the St George Ferry Terminal.
