Job summary

Crystal Clinic Orthopaedic Center in Fairlawn, OH is seeking a Registered Nurse for full-time night shifts in Post-Surgical Orthopedics & Plastics, Inpatient. You will provide direct nursing care across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical settings, perform comprehensive assessments, administer medications, and support mobility and post-operative recovery.

Requirements include an Ohio RN license (ADN/BSN accepted), BLS within one month, ACLS preferred, and ONC helpful.

Qualifications

• RN with Ohio license required (BSN/ADN accepted).
• BLS within one month of hire; ACLS preferred.
• Orthopedic/post-surgical nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to orthopedic, pain management, and plastic surgery patients across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical settings.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments including musculoskeletal and neurovascular checks; identify early postop complications.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and treatments; monitor responses and coordinate with providers.

The Essentials

• Schedule: Full-Time 36 hours per week | Night Shift 3x 12s 7PM-7:30AM
• Location: Fairlawn, OH
• Specialty: Post-Surgical Orthopedics & Plastics, Inpatient

What You'll Do

• Provide direct nursing care to orthopedic, pain management, and plastic surgery patients across inpatient, outpatient, and surgical settings.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including musculoskeletal, neurovascular, pain, and post-operative evaluations, and identify early signs of complications.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments while monitoring patient response and collaborating with providers to optimize outcomes.
• Deliver post-operative care, including wound and drain management, infection prevention, safe positioning, and protection of surgical sites.
• Answer Support patient recovery through early mobilization, safe transfers, ambulation, and coordination with physical and occupational therapy teams.

What We're Looking For

• Education: Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN/ASN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited nursing program required.
• Experience: One (1) to two (2) years of acute care nursing experience preferred, with orthopedic, surgical, or post-operative experience strongly preferred. New graduates with relevant clinical training are encouraged to apply.
• Skills: Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking abilities, including neurovascular monitoring and post-operative patient management. Excellent communication, patient education, and collaboration skills with a commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care. Ability to support patient mobility, transfers, and repositioning in a physically active healthcare environment.
• License & Certifications: Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Ohio required. BLS certification required within one month of hire. ACLS preferred. Orthopedic Nurse Certification (ONC) is beneficial but not required.
