Job summary

The Columbus Organization is an inpatient mental health facility in Morganton, NC seeking a Registered Nurse for 2nd/3rd shift. 36/48 hours with 16-week contract and potential renewal, offering $50.00-$52.00 per hour and full benefits.

Responsibilities include assessment, medication management, therapy interventions, and care coordination with interdisciplinary teams to ensure patient safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted RN license in North Carolina (or eligibility).
• Degree in Nursing from an Accredited University.
• Experience with medication administration and patient monitoring.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Assess and evaluate patients upon admission and during stay, with physical health, mental status, and risk assessment.
• Administer psychiatric medications as prescribed; monitor side effects and adherence; educate patients and families.
• Implement therapeutic interventions: individual/group therapy and crisis intervention techniques.
