Qualifications

  • Experience in Inpatient Units: 6 months nursing experience or participation in UW Health's Nurse Residency Program.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in WI.
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification is required.

Work Schedule:


60% FTE, evening/night shift rotation. Weekend rotation, and holiday rotation. We offer a competitive starting pay, relevant work experience will be considered, this position also includes a shift/weekend differential. You will work at East Madison Hospital in Madison, WI.


Pay:



  • Additional components of compensation may include:

    • Shift Differentials: $4/hour evening, $5/hour night and 4.25/hour weekend as applicable for hours worked.

    • Overtime

The 4th floor Inpatient unit is a fast-paced, 28-bed medical surgical unit that offers rewarding nursing opportunities at a Magnet designated hospital.


We are seeking a Registered Nurse to:



  • Help provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a professional environment that fosters and values collaboration, respect, and diversity.

  • Join a team of remarkable nurses and have the opportunity to care for general care patients with a wide variety of medical and surgical diagnoses.

  • Work in a collaborative environment, surrounded by state of the art technology, evidence-based practice and a strong interdisciplinary team.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and lead practice changes.

  • Collaborate in the development, execution and evaluation of the multidisciplinary plan of care.

Qualifications




  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred




Work Experience



  • Inpatient Units: Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health's Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Required

  • Relevant RN Experience Preferred




Licenses & Certifications



  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Required

  • Current CPR/BLS Certification Required

  • Relevant Certification Preferred
