Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse in Seattle to deliver skilled nursing care to hospitalized patients and coordinate their care and discharge planning.

You will assess patients, administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor conditions while collaborating with physicians to ensure optimal recovery and safe transitions to home or another care setting.

Qualifications

• Current WA State RN license.
• 1+ year RN experience with acute care.
• CPR certification (renewed every 2 years or per policy).
• WA BON approved nursing program graduate.
• ACLS certification preferred for specialty areas.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and deliver nursing care.
• Administer medications and perform treatments as prescribed.
• Continuously monitor patient conditions and document findings.
• Collaborate with physicians and other staff to develop and implement care plans.
• Prepare patients and families for discharge, coordinating post-hospital care as needed.

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Inpatient Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, skilled nursing services to patients requiring hospitalization, guiding them toward optimal health and functional recovery.

Every day you will assess patient needs, administer medications, perform treatments, and continuously monitor patient conditions. You will collaborate seamlessly with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans, always preparing patients and their families for a successful discharge, whether to home or to another setting for continued care.

To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for every individual.

Job Requirements

Required

• Current WA State RN license
• One (1) or more years recent RN experience with acute care patients
• CPR certification is required every two (2) years or as specified by the work
• Other certifications may be required for specialty areas
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing

Preferred

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification

$47.12 - $88.77 / hour
