Job summary

Virginia Mason Franciscan Health is seeking an Inpatient Registered Nurse to deliver high-quality nursing care to hospitalized patients. You will assess needs, administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor conditions while collaborating with physicians to plan care and preparing families for discharge.

This role is part of the High Acuity Float Pool, offering premium float opportunities across our Washington network and exposure to diverse acute care cases.

Qualifications

• WA State RN license required.
• 1+ year acute care RN experience.
• CPR certification required every two years or per policy.
• ACLS certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care to hospitalized patients with a focus on safety and comfort.
• Assess patients, administer medications, perform treatments, and monitor status.
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to develop care plans.
• Prepare patients and families for discharge to home or other care settings.

Education

Job Summary and Responsibilities

As our Inpatient Registered Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, skilled nursing services to patients requiring hospitalization, guiding them toward optimal health and functional recovery. Every day you will assess patient needs, administer medications, perform treatments, and continuously monitor patient conditions. You will collaborate seamlessly with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop comprehensive care plans, always preparing patients and their families for a successful discharge, whether to home or to another setting for continued care. To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong clinical expertise, exceptional communication skills, and a compassionate, patient-centered approach to care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for every individual.

This is part of the High Acuity Float Pool.

Job Requirements

Required

• Current WA State RN license
• One (1) or more years recent RN experience with acute care patients
• CPR certification is required every two (2) years or as specified by the work
• Other certifications may be required for specialty areas
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing approved by the Washington State Board of Nursing
• ICU/ED experience

Preferred

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
