Job summary

Selah House in Anderson, IN is seeking an Experienced Staff Nurse to provide medical care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing at our inpatient, residential program for women with eating disorders.

You will perform nursing assessments, administer medications, document care, and support clients through admission and treatment planning, while contributing to a collaborative, education-focused team.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Nursing or higher.
• Current Indiana Nursing License (RN or LPN).
• 1 year clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
• Psychiatric nursing experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes comprehensive nursing assessments during intake to aid treatment planning.
• Administers medications per physician orders and maintains records.
• Observes and reports client status and concerns to Medical Director.
• Collects labs, reviews results, and communicates findings to Medical Director.
• Provides social and emotional support and crisis-intervention as needed.
• Keeps treatment plans and privileges lists updated weekly.
• Maintains clean, sanitary nurse areas and follows universal precautions.
• Ensures secure handling of medications and medical records.
• Documents communications daily and participates in staff meetings and trainings.
