Job summary

Meritus Health is seeking an Injury Prevention EMS Specialist to strengthen pre-hospital care and community safety. The role combines clinical RN expertise with program coordination and community outreach, under the Trauma/EMS Manager.

You will lead injury prevention initiatives, liaise with EMS and community partners, and oversee QA processes to continually improve trauma services. On-site, Mon–Fri, with schedule flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required or equivalent education/experience.
• At least 3 years RN experience in trauma center or trauma QA programs.
• Maryland RN license or multi-state compact with MD privileges.
• BLS/CPR certification; ACLS, PALS, TNCC, ENPC within 1 year of hire.
• Trauma process improvement, AIS coding and ICD-10 education within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate injury prevention programs using trauma data.
• Serve as liaison among Meritus Health, EMS providers, and community partners.
• Coordinate EMS equipment, supply and medication management.
• Support EMS students and regional programs; act as Base Station Coordinator.
• Oversee trauma/EMS quality assurance processes for ongoing improvement.
