The RN Injection Specialist will administer injections safely, educate patients, monitor reactions, and maintain documentation.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in Washington and Idaho.
• Minimum 2 years nursing experience, outpatient or hospital setting.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience with injection techniques and medications.
• Strong pharmacology knowledge and medication interactions.
• Excellent communication and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Administer intramuscular and subcutaneous injections following protocols.
• Assess patients prior to injections for safety and appropriateness of treatment.
• Educate patients on injections' purpose, benefits, and side effects.
• Monitor for adverse reactions and provide interventions as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of injections and patient responses.
• Adhere to infection control and medication guidelines.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
• Ensure safe storage of medications and supplies.
• Stay updated on best practices and safety regulations.
• Comply with PHI laws including HIPAA and 42 CFR Part 2.
