PruittHealth is seeking an experienced RN Infusion Nurse to provide clinical care for home infusion patients and to lead nursing staff supporting the infusion pharmacy. The role emphasizes visiting patients, teaching caregivers, and coordinating with interdisciplinary teams.

Requirements include a BSN, 5–10 years infusion experience, active RN license, CPR, and preferred CRNI. This PRN position supports operations and education across home infusion services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing from an accredited college or university.
• 5-10 years of nursing experience with a concentration on infusion and management.
• Current, active RN licensure in state of practice. CPR certification.
• CRNI preferred

Responsibilities

• Make home visits to evaluate appropriateness for home infusion services.
• Teach and train patients/caregivers to participate in home infusion treatments in their homes.
• Provide nursing interventions to home infusion patients per INS standards.
• Supervise care provided by home infusion RNs/LPNs.
• Maintain clinical records to meet federal, state and agency regulations and standards.
• Develop the Plan of Treatment and assist to maintain the interdisciplinary care plan.
• Coordinate services with other agencies as needed.
• Provide infusion in-services for non-pharmacy clients/partners.
• Assist with marketing visits as clinical support as needed.
• Review nurse notes and prepare for billing.
• Assist with pharmacy operations as directed by Executive Director

Description

JOB PURPOSE:

Responsible for the clinical nursing care of the home infusion patients and management of nursing staff supporting PruittHealth Infusion pharmacy.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. 1.Make home visits to evaluate appropriateness for home infusion services.
2. 2.Ability to teach and train patients/caregivers to participate in home infusion treatments in their homes.
3. 3.Provide nursing interventions to home infusion patients within the accepted standards of practice based on national INS standards.
4. 4.Assume full responsibility for professional management of assigned patients to nursing staff
5. 5.Maintain clinical records to meet federal, state and agency regulations and standards.
6. 6.Develop the Plan of Treatment and assist to maintain the interdisciplinary care plan.
7. 7.Assume and assign on call duties.
8. 8.Supervise care provided by home infusion Licensed Practical Nurses and Registered Nurses
9. 9.Have nursing meetings regularly.
10. 10.Have training as needed for staff.
11. 11.Coordinate services with other agencies as needed.
12. 12.Provide infusion in-services as needed for non-pharmacy clients/partners.
13. 13.Assist with marketing visits as clinical support as needed.
14. 15.Maintain timesheets and expense reports in a timely manner.
15. 16.Review all nurse’s notes and prepare for billing.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

• Maintain all infusion skills to be prepared for all aspects of home infusion treatments required.
• Participate in continuing educational programs to keep abreast of changes in your field as well as to maintain current License/certification as required.
• Attend and participate in mandatory in-services.
• Be able to use all nursing education/skills to assist home enteral patients on pharmacy service.
• Knowledge and experience in managing staff.
• Skills in conflict resolution.
• Ability to be available to all staff as needed.

Qualifications

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:

Bachelor’s Degree in nursing from an accredited college or university or graduate of an accredited/approved RN program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

5-10 years of nursing experience with a concentration on infusion and management.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:

Current, active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice. Current CPR certification.
