Job summary

EvergreenHealth in Kirkland, WA seeks an experienced Registered Nurse to provide direct nursing care for patients in accordance with established standards and policies. The role requires an active WA RN license and BLS certification, with a wage range reflecting multiple levels.

The successful candidate will collaborate with physicians and the care team to develop and implement care plans, ensure accurate documentation, and educate patients and families throughout their stay.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a nursing program (Nursing Diploma, ADN, BSN, or MSN).
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington or holding a multistate license (NLC).
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide total direct nursing care to assigned patients.
• Assess nursing needs and advocate for patients.
• Coordinate patient and family education.
• Plan, implement and evaluate patient care with the team.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary staff on care plans.
• Communicate patient information, safety issues, and equipment concerns to the supervisor.
• Document changes in patient condition and communicate with the charge nurse.

Wage Range: $50.14 - $90.60 per hour

Posted wage ranges represent the entire range from minimum to maximum. For jobs with more than one level, the posted range reflects the minimum of the lowest level and the maximum of the highest level. Some positions also offer additional premiums based on shift, certifications or degrees. Job offers are determined based on a candidate's years of relevant experience, level of education and internal equity.

Job Summary:

Responsible for the total direct nursing care of all patients within established standards of care, hospital and unit policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Primary Duties:

1. Provides direct patient care and functions as a patient advocate.
2. Assesses the comprehensive nursing needs of an assigned group of patients.
3. Coordinates the patient and family/significant other education process.
4. Continuously plans, implements, and evaluates patient care, incorporating patient and family/significant other into the process.
5. Participates with physician partners and other interdisciplinary team members to develop and implement patient and family/significant other plan of care.
6. Communicates effectively all relevant information (e.g., patient information, safety issues, problems with equipment, quality issues, etc.) to immediate supervisor, in timely way.
7. Communicates and documents changes in patient condition, on a timely basis, to charge nurse/supervisor and physician.
8. Performs other duties as assigned.

License, Certification, Education or Experience:

REQUIRED for the position:

• Graduate of a nursing program (Nursing Diploma, Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN), Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree and/or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) degree)
• Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Washington OR holding a multistate Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) license
• Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire
