Job summary

TalentBurst, Inc. is seeking an RN for Infusion in Winston-Salem, NC for a 13-week assignment. The role requires at least 1 year in oncology/infusion and certifications in BLS and Chemo/Bio. Candidates will administer chemotherapies, access ports, and manage infusion-related side effects.

Providers will work 8-hour day shifts, Mon-Fri, with EPIC/Encompass documentation and a team-based support structure in a hematology/oncology outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in oncology/infusion setting.
• BLS and Chemo/Bio certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administer anti-neoplastic therapies per physician orders.
• Perform port access and IV starts with aseptic technique.
• Monitor patients for chemo/immunotherapy side effects and manage as needed.
• Document in EPIC/Encompass and coordinate with care team.

Shift: 8hr Day Shift - 40, M-F 8:10am - 5 Pm

About Facility

• Hematology and Oncology Outpatient Clinic
• Located on the 3rd floor of the Cancer Center. Infusions on one side and the providers/exam rooms on the other
• 1 Medical Center Blvd. Winston-Salem, NC 27157

Unit Information

• Beds: 60 infusion chairs
• Census- Average patients/day- 125 per day
• Minimum Years of Experience required- 1 year in oncology/infusion setting
• Will you accept a first-time traveler- Yes

Patient Types/Common Diagnoses

• All types of cancer patients
• Adults

Patient Ratios

• Depending on which pod assigned. Ratios will never be over 1:4

Required License, National Certification, Certs

• BLS, Chemo/Bio certification required

Skills required

• Administration of anti-neoplastic agents, port access, IV start skills, knowledge of Chemo/Immunotherapy side effects and how to manager
