Job summary

Northside Hospital, an award-winning provider in the Atlanta area, seeks a Registered Nurse to plan and provide professional nursing care per physician orders and Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and licensed as an RN in Georgia in good standing, with BLS certification. Preferred: BSN, two years RN experience, and additional Life Support credentials (ACLS, PALS, NRP) or other unit certifications; color vision may be required depending on unit.

The Registered Professional Nurse at Northside Hospital independently plans and provides professional nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and established guidelines, and in accordance with the scope of practice as defined by the Georgia Nurse Practice Act.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES, LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED:

1. Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing
2. Licensed as a RN in the State of Georgia in good standing without limitations.
3. Must hold Certified in American Heart Association's Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS).

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES/LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION PREFERRED:

2. Two (2) years of experience as a Registered Professional Nurse (RN).

4. Visual color acuity depending on the role in specific units.
