Job summary

UW Medical Center-Northwest Infectious Disease and Travel Medicine Clinic is seeking a Registered Nurse to join a close-knit team in Seattle. The RN will manage vaccines and specialty medications, educate patients, and respond to MyChart inquiries while coordinating care across both the Infectious Disease and Travel Medicine clinics.

The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, with day shifts (Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5:00pm) and no nights, weekends, or holidays.

Qualifications

• Active licensure to practice as a Registered Nurse in Washington State.
• BLS certification.
• 2 years of recent RN work experience in an acute care hospital floor or an outpatient clinic.

Responsibilities

• Administer vaccines and specialty medications, including intramuscular injections
• Educate patients and caregivers on symptom management
• Respond to patient calls and MyChart messages, including questions about specialty medications
• Assist with prior authorizations and insurance appeals for specialty medications
• Complete patient paperwork, including forms for insurance authorizations
• Provide care coordination services
• Document patient outcomes in Epic
