Job summary

Terrace of Delray is seeking a Registered Nurse Infection Preventionist to lead the Infection Prevention Program, monitor healthcare-associated infections, and evaluate resident outcomes. You will collect, analyze, and present data, and make recommendations for actions to improve safety and quality.

You will educate staff, ensure policy compliance, and support multiple departments to protect residents, staff, and visitors in a clinical setting.

Qualifications

• RN Infection Preventionist role requires an active RN license and infection control knowledge.
• Experience with data collection, analysis and reporting of HAIs is preferred.
• Ability to educate staff and collaborate across departments to improve outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the Infection Prevention Program and monitoring strategies.
• Evaluates resident outcomes and HAIs, proposing actions based on data.

SUMMARY/RN Infection Preventionist:

• Responsible for the Infection Prevention Program.


• Evaluates quality of resident care and resident outcomes as they relate to healthcare–associated infections.


• Collects, prepares and analyzes healthcare–associated infection data, presents this data, and makes recommendations for actions.


• Monitors employee compliance in use of barriers and infection prevention measures.


• Prepares and presents educational offerings for the staff and serves as a resource to all departments and personnel.


• Implements policies to protect the healthcare workers, visitors, and others in the healthcare environment and prevent adverse events.


• Provides internal and external reporting of information and data and promotes compliance with regulations, guidelines, and accreditation requirements.
