RN - Infection Prevention Specialist (Days)

Overview

Under the direction of the Director of Quality, the Infection Prevention Specialist will participate in implementing, reviewing, and supporting the facility's infection prevention plan. The role involves collaborating with leadership, coworkers, and medical staff to develop, implement, and monitor infection control strategies, aligning with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.

Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor's of Science in clinical healthcare or a related health sciences field (e.g., nursing, lab sciences, public health). An Associate's degree or Nursing diploma with relevant experience may be considered.
  • Licensure: None required
  • Experience: 3-5+ years in clinical healthcare
  • Skills: Excellent communication, proven leadership, knowledge of healthcare systems and quality improvement, organizational and analytical skills, proficiency in MS Office, strong public speaking, self-directed, ability to travel frequently within the hospital.
