Job summary
AdventHealth in Ocala, FL seeks an experienced Infection Preventionist to lead the IPC program, aligning with quality and safety goals and driving continuous improvement.
You will monitor IPC compliance, perform surveillance using epidemiologic methods, develop education programs, and collaborate with teams and public health partners to improve outcomes.
Requires RN, 3+ years of bedside acute care; BLS; CIC preferred; day shift, full-time position.
Qualifications
- RN licensure required.
- 3+ years in bedside acute care.
- Infection control experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Leads the implementation and continuous improvement of the IPC program, aligning with quality and safety goals.
- Monitors IPC standards and conducts surveillance using epidemiologic principles to detect disease trends and outbreaks.
- Evaluates surveillance systems and adjusts plans based on data and benchmarking.
- Develops IPC education programs to improve staff competency and compliance.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams and external partners to enhance infection prevention outcomes.
