Job summary

Linden Court in Nebraska is seeking a full-time Staff Development / Infection Prevention Nurse (RN) to build a confident, well-trained team and maintain a safe care environment for residents.

You will orient and train new staff, provide ongoing education, lead infection prevention efforts, participate in on-call rotations, and support the Director of Nursing in clinical leadership.

Qualifications

• Current RN license with CPR certification.
• Experience in training, staff development, or infection prevention preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, integrity, and a caring attitude.
• Passion for mentoring, teaching, and developing others.
• Ability to stay organized, build relationships, and lead confidently.

Responsibilities

• Orient and train new employees; provide ongoing education and on-the-spot training.
• Coordinate required staff development programs and competency training.
• Complete audits and maintain documentation; follow up on opportunities for improvement.
• Lead infection prevention efforts across the community and coordinate outbreak response when needed.
• Participate in on-call rotation, including weekend coverage; provide clinical leadership in absence of the Director of Nursing.

This role is ideal for a compassionate, organized Registered Nurse who enjoys teaching, mentoring, and helping others succeed. You will orient and train new employees, provide ongoing education, coaching, and on-the-spot training, and coordinate required staff development programs and competency training. You will also complete audits, maintain documentation, and follow up on opportunities for improvement.

As the Infection Control Nurse, you will lead infection prevention efforts throughout the community by monitoring for potential concerns, taking proactive steps to help prevent outbreaks, and coordinating outbreak response when needed. This includes providing education, communication, tracking, and follow-up for team members and departments.

You will partner with department leaders to ensure team members have the knowledge and resources needed to provide exceptional care. This position also participates in an on-call rotation, including weekend coverage, and may provide clinical leadership support in the absence of the Director of Nursing.
