Qualifications

This job is typically an 8-week assignment. It is considered a leader in patient care, utilizing the Nursing Process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code for Nurses, and Scope & Standards of Practice. The RN effectively delegates, directs, and assists licensed and ancillary team members, assumes accountability for quality patient outcomes, exhibits sensitivity to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity, and supports the department’s strategic goals. The RN demonstrates professional responsibility and accountability for their own practice.

Education
  • Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
Work Experience
  • Required: 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse.
Certifications
  • Required: Current RN License in the state of practice, BLS, ACLS from the American Heart Association, and CPI certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Preferred: Certification in a clinical specialty area.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Effective communication skills, proficiency in computer applications, good judgment, and strong interpersonal skills.
Job Duties

  • Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies.
  • Manage nursing team resources and collaborate within the interdisciplinary team.
  • Utilize data to evaluate and improve outcomes.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
