Job summary

Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory, NC seeks a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Medical Care (IMC) unit. 3x12 hour night shifts with a 12-bed unit and self-scheduling support the patient care team.

Current RN license required; BSN preferred. BLS within 30 days; ACLS/PALS within six months. Prior IMC/PCU experience is preferred, with a path to comprehensive benefits and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Current state RN license required.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
• ACLS and PALS required within six months of hire.
• One year IMC or PCU experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform accurate patient assessments and identify needs.
• Identify and initiate appropriate nursing interventions.
• Provide care appropriate to patient condition and age.
• Document information relating to medical necessity in the chart.
• Complete and revise the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient.
• Perform timely quality improvement assessments.
