Job summary

State of Mississippi, Mississippi Department of Human Services, Division of Youth Services - Oakley Youth Development Center in Raymond, MS, seeks a Second-level Professional Registered Nurse (Nurse II) to join the medical treatment team.

You will review medical records, observe care, coordinate assessments from other disciplines, report incidents, and participate in discharge planning while supervising LPNs, nurse assistants, and other staff on shift.

Qualifications

• State licensure as a Registered Nurse and 1–2 years of RN experience.
• Experience coordinating assessments and discharge planning.
• Oversee other RNs on a shift.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and observe medical care provided to patients.
• Coordinate assessments from other disciplines and incident reporting.
• Discharge planning and supervision of LPNs, nurse assistants, and other staff on shift.
• Oversee and review the work of nursing staff on a shift.
