Job summary

WH Wheeling Hospital Inc. is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver professional nursing care in an inpatient setting, leveraging the nursing process and independent judgment. You will work within the CAPE clinical ladder framework to advance skills and contribute to patient outcomes.

The role requires a current RN license, BLS certification within 30 days, and at least one year of nursing experience. A BSN is preferred, with emphasis on growth, ethics, and teamwork in a high-stakes environment.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which services will be provided or current multi-state Registered Nurse license through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
• Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
• One year of registered nursing experience.
• BSN preferred as an education/qualification.

Responsibilities

• Modifies patient’s plan of care based on data collection and patient’s individual needs.
• Uses Evidence-Based Practice (EBP) to provide patient care.
• Delegates according to scope of practice.
• Verifies the plan of care with interprofessional colleagues, patient, and caregiver(s).
• Provides education based on learning needs and involvement of family.
• Promotes effective communication among interprofessional team members & healthcare consumers.
