Job summary

AdventHealth in Rome, GA is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to perform comprehensive patient assessments, develop individualized care plans, and administer medications with a strong emphasis on safety and quality care.

You will collaborate with physicians, therapists, social workers, and other care team members, educate patients and families, and ensure accurate documentation in the EMR. The role includes participating in performance improvement and discharge planning.

Qualifications

• RN license and BLS certification required.
• 1+ year of acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Fluent in English with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, day-shift environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients through observation, interviews, and exams to identify needs.
• Develop care plans with SMART goals in collaboration with patients and families.
• Administer medications and perform procedures (wound care, catheterization, IV therapy).
• Educate patients and families and provide discharge instructions and follow-up plans.
• Advocate for patient safety and coordinate care with the healthcare team.
• Document care accurately in medical records and participate in quality improvement.
