Job summary

Medical University Hospital Authority (MUHA) seeks an RN II for Labor & Delivery in Charleston, SC. You will provide individualized patient care under supervision, following the nursing process to ensure safety and quality outcomes for patients and families.

The role requires SC RN licensure and BLS, with a BSN preferred for ongoing professional development. Shifts are nights, with a 36-hour work week and 3-12 hour shifts including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
• RN staff hired on or after July 1, 2013 with an Associate or Diploma degree in nursing must enroll in an accredited BSN program within two years and obtain BSN within four years of hire.
• A minimum of one year of work experience as a registered nurse required.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by SC Board of Nursing or a compact state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

• Provide individualized, goal-directed patient care using the nursing process.
• Deliver safe and effective care and collaborate with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.
• Support families and patients throughout the care process.
