Job summary

Kaiser Permanente is seeking an RN II for Labor & Delivery at our Walnut Creek location. The role requires providing comprehensive nursing care, coordinating with the care team, and ensuring patient safety and education.

The RN will use the nursing process, demonstrate professional accountability, and support family involvement. Ideal candidates have a CA RN license, BLS, NRP, and at least one year of recent L&D experience.

Qualifications

• One year of RN experience in L&D or KP training within the last three years.
• Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program or currently enrolled in MSN pre-licensure requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform ongoing nursing assessments covering physiologic, psychosocial, cultural, spiritual and cognitive needs.
• Formulate goal-directed plans of care based on nursing diagnosis and patient outcomes.
• Provide and coordinate care with the health care team and families.
• Demonstrate knowledge of safety principles and infection control.
• Communicate effectively following lines of authority and document events in the EMR.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and participate in performance improvement activities.
