Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services is seeking an RN II for the Southwestern Virginia Mental Health Institute in Marion. The position supports the Nursing Services Team on an 8-hour shift from 2:30 p.m.

to 11:00 p.m., with obligations to work at least every other weekend. Qualified applicants will hold Virginia RN licensure and may benefit from supervisory experience and EHR proficiency, with a preference for candidates experienced with mental illness, forensic, geriatric,

• Charge nurse experience considered an asset.

Job Duties

SWVMHI in Marion, VA is recruiting for an 8-hour shift Registered Nurse II to join its talented and dedicated Nursing Services Team.

Position Hours: 2:30 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. Working at Least Every Other Weekend

Minimum Qualifications

• Require License to practice as Registered Nurse by Virginia State Board of Nursing in the State of Virginia.

Additional Considerations

• Strongly prefer supervisory experience with knowledge of performance management and evaluation processes.
• Strongly prefer experience working with individuals with mental illness, forensic, geriatric, and/or substance abuse issues.
• Prefer supervisory experience and competency in Charge Nurse role.
• Computer skills, including use of electronic health record, are needed.
