Qualifications

• Twelve months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment
• RN - Texas State Licensure required and must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days if establishing Texas residency
• BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA)
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support or Instructor (AHA)
• NRP - Neonatal Resuscitation or Instructor (AHA,AAP)
• FHMC - Fetal Heart Monitoring Cert - Int, Adv, or Instructor (AWHONN)

Responsibilities

• Provides professional nursing care to a diverse patient population and conducts nursing assessments.
• Assists with exams and treatment, patient education, and maintenance of medical records.
• Communicates and collaborates with physicians and interprofessional health care team to coordinate care and improve outcomes.
• Assumes leadership roles including participating in or leading unit/shared governance initiatives, serving as charge nurse or preceptor, and contributing to program initiatives.
