Job summary

The Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, MD, invites registered nurses to join the Ambulatory Oncology Infusion Clinics, providing standard and research chemotherapy/immunotherapy, supportive care infusions, and clinical interventions for hematologic and solid tumor malignancies.

Responsibilities include nurse telephone triage, discharge planning, care coordination, ambulatory clinical evaluation, and advanced drug preparation, with Oncology competency education provided for non-oncology staff.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing is required.
• Active Maryland or Compact RN license is required.
• BLS CPR certification required.
• RN work experience required.
• Enrollment in BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and completion within 4 years may be considered.

Job Details:

The Ambulatory Oncology Infusion Clinics provides both standard of care and research chemotherapy/immunotherapy, supportive care infusions, and clinical interventions for hematologic and solid tumor malignancies. Other performance and patient outcome services include nurse telephone triage, discharge planning, care coordination, ambulatory clinical evaluation, and advanced drug preparation. Registered Nurses (RNs) care for patients with solid tumor diagnosis in the Viragh Building and patients with hematologic malignancies in the Weinberg Building. Oncology competency-based education and training will be provided for the non-oncology nurse.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing required


• Applicants with an Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited nursing program may be considered, provided they are enrolled in an accredited BSN/MSN program within 1 year of hire and complete the degree within 4 years of hire

Salary Range:

Minimum 39.64/hour - Maximum 61.45/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount, salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls, before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
