Job summary

Texas Health Huguley is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the inpatient team in Burleson, TX. Shifts are days or nights in a full-time capacity, with a strong emphasis on comprehensive patient care and documentation in the EMR.

Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, medication administration, and patient-family education. Requires RN license, BLS, and critical care competencies; Cerner/EPIC experience preferred.

Job Description

Shift: Days (7:00am - 7:00pm ) OR Nights (7:00pm - 7:00am) available

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to gather data on health status and needs.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans based on assessment findings and medical diagnoses.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately as prescribed, ensuring patient safety and adherence to protocols.
• Monitor and evaluate patient responses to interventions, adjusting care plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes.
• Provide education and counseling to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care strategies.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
• Document patient care activities, including assessments, care plans, interventions, and outcomes, accurately and timely in the electronic medical record (EMR).

• Previous experience with Cerner Electronic Medical Record [Preferred]
• Previous EKG Interpretation Class [Preferred]
• EPIC [Preferred]
