RN ICU PRN Nights Position Summary

This role provides direct clinical patient care. The role will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, and implementing direct clinical care to assigned patients on a per-shift basis and at the unit level. The role is responsible for supervising staff to whom appropriate care is delegated. The role is accountable to support the CNO in ensuring high-quality, safe, and appropriate nursing care, maintaining the competency of clinical staff, and managing resources related to patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Active and current registered nurse license in the state of residence/practice.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to serve as a role model and advocate for the nursing profession.

Education

  • Required: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
  • Preferred: Academic degree in nursing (Bachelor's or Master's degree).

Certification

  • Required: Must be currently licensed, certified, or registered to practice as required by law, regulation in the state of practice, or policy. CPR certification.
