Responsibilities

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle, utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. He/she works within the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse maintains standards of practice and coordinates patient care activities of all assigned staff to ensure quality nursing care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from a nursing program
• New graduates eligible
• Current license in Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
• BLS certification required

Additional Qualifications

• One year of nursing experience in a hospital setting preferred for PRN positions
• Bachelor's degree preferred
• Advanced certification in the specialty area, if applicable
