Highpoint Health with Ascension Saint Thomas has an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join our Intensive Care team.

**Responsibilities include:**

• Providing direct patient care using the nursing process in accordance with standards of practice.
• Monitoring and documenting patient condition, informing physicians.
• Performing interventions such as medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments.
• Assisting patients with activities of daily living.
• Collaborating across disciplines for coordinated care.
• Educating patients and families according to age, culture, and condition.
• Advocating for patient well-being.
• Performing other duties as assigned, possibly including duties of CNA, MA, or LPN.

**Qualifications:**

• Associate's degree required.
• Critical thinking, decisive judgment, and ability to work independently.
• Ability to work in stressful environments.

**Certifications:**

• AHA BLS within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS within 6 months of hire.
• AHA PALS within 6 months of hire.
• Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) preferred.

**Licenses:**

• Active RN license for Tennessee or valid compact license filed within 30 days.
