Piedmont is seeking a staff nurse for the ICU in Stockbridge, Georgia. The role includes providing nursing care to patients in a fast-paced, high acuity environment—staffed 24/7 by critical care professionals. Ideal candidates are nursing graduates or those with hospital experience, with RN licensure required.
The position entails utilizing nursing processes to assess and coordinate care, ensuring high standards of practice.
ICU – 24 bed Medical/Surgical intensive care unit. Fast‑paced, high acuity. Staffed 24/7 by Critical Care Intensivists/APPs, registered nurses, respiratory therapists, and patient‑care technicians. Typical nurse‑to‑patient ratio: 1:2/1:3.
40 beds. Care for sepsis, multi‑system organ failure, continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), targeted temperature management (TTM), advanced invasive and non‑invasive hemodynamic monitoring, arterial lines, Flotrac/EV1000, central venous catheters, EKOS ultrasound‑accelerated thrombolysis, intra‑aortic balloon pump (IABP), Impella, vasopressor titration, continuous paralytic titration, BIS/TOF monitoring, pacemaker management, complex respiratory failure, post‑percutaneous coronary intervention, acute stroke care with alteplase, shock management (cardiac, septic, hypovolemic), neurosurgical patients with external ventricular devices, ARDS with manual prone therapy.
The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. Functions within the policies and procedures, demonstrates professional growth and accountability, maintains standards of practice, and coordinates patient care activities of all assigned staff to deliver quality nursing care.
