Job summary

Piedmont is seeking a staff nurse to provide quality nursing care to patients of all ages at Piedmont Augusta Hospital, Georgia. The role involves assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while ensuring professional growth and adhering to organizational policies.

No prior experience is required for new nursing graduates, but a current Georgia RN license and BCLS certification are mandatory. Sign-on bonus available for the right candidate.

Responsibilities

The staff nurse provides nursing care to patients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care for patients. He/she functions within the framework of the policies and procedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growth and accountability. The staff nurse is responsible for maintaining standards of practice and coordinating patient care activities of all assigned staff in the provision of quality nursing care.

Education

• Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing – Required
• Bachelors Degree – Preferred

Work Experience

• No experience required; New Graduates of a nursing program eligible – Required
• Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting – Preferred
• 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions – Preferred

Licenses and Certifications

• RN – Registered Nurse – Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure – Current license in Georgia required
• BCLS – Basic Life Support – Required
• Advanced certification in field of specialty, if applicable (see addendum)

Addendum

• Cardiac Tele: Additional Required Certifications: ACLS – required within 180 days
• Critical Care: Additional Required Certifications: ACLS – required within 180 days
• Dialysis: Additional Required Certifications: CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate) – Preferred
• Emergency Department: Additional Required Certifications: ACLS and PALS – required within 180 days
• Infusion/Oncology: Additional Required Certifications: Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification – required on hire
• Pediatrics: Additional Required Certifications: PALS – required within 180 days
• Surgical Services: Additional Required Certifications: PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients – required within 180 days; BLS – required within 180 days
• Women's Services: Additional Required Certifications: Labor and Delivery-ACLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program, NICU, NAT, Nursery – required within 180 days
