Job Responsibilities

The Critical Care Registered Nurse (RN) assumes responsibility and accountability for applying the nursing process and delivering patient care in critical care settings. Responsibilities include monitoring, assessment, vital signs, ventilator management, medication administration, IV insertion and infusion, central line care, catheter management, and maintaining a patient status record. The RN must be prepared to perform CPR and other lifesaving measures at all times.

Minimum Requirements

• Current RN license for the state of practice
• One year of critical care experience preferred
• Minimum of one year acute or critical care experience preferred
• Current BLS, ACLS/PALS cards (per facility requirements)
• TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable
• Current health certificate (per contract or state regulation)
• Meet all federal, state, and local requirements
• At least 18 years old
